From the Diffusion Studio archives: World Map by the GDP

Here you have a little something dug out from the vast Diffusion Studio archive crates.

This is a pretty simple diagrammatic World map, with every country represented by a circle/dot related solely to its gross domestic product, and the colour indicating which geographical/cultural zone the country belongs to. The design ignores the area, population or any other data so often used as the basis for World representation schemes. Instead, the scheme reveals a subtle, interconnected and multi-dimensional global ecosystem and highlights complex processes and power-plays of today’s globalized, money-driven reality.
